The Products We Love - Amy’s Favorite
When it comes to gear we love, the STKR team has a lot of opinions and a lot of favorites. In our ongoing Products We Love series, we sit down with team members to find out which STKR products they swear by and why. This time, we caught up with Amy, our Director of New Business Development. Amy’s the ultimate adventure enthusiast – whether she’s playing volleyball, exploring a new country, or camping with her pup Elba (our beloved Human and Treats Resource Manager), she’s always on the go. Naturally, she has strong feelings about the perfect gear to take along.
So what’s her favorite? The FLi PRO Telescoping Light. And trust us, when Amy loves something, she’s got good reasons. From backyard BBQs to international backpacking trips, this light has been her go-to in just about every situation. We asked her to break down why the FLi PRO stands out, how she uses it, and what adventure it’s headed on next.

What do you love most about the FLi PRO Telescoping Light?
Ah man, I can only choose one thing?!? I’ve never been good at that… I’ll give you my top 3! Love that the light extends above my head and that it’s an area light. So much better than having to aim one beam of light with a handheld flashlight or headlamp. Second would have to be the compact size. Collapsed down it takes up minimal space and I store one in my closet at home and one under the seat in my car. The fact that the light can be removed from the telescoping pole to use in just about any way I can think of, is the added icing on top and my third favorite thing.
Where and how do you like to use your FLi PRO?
I use my FLi PRO in many different ways, but I’d say my main use would have to be camping. The white light is perfect for cooking food or playing card games, and then we switch to the amber mode for just chilling around the campfire. When it’s time to crash, I remove the flashlight head and hang it in my tent. From an overhead light to a tent lantern just like that! I have also used the FLi PRO for raking leaves in my front yard after the sun’s gone down, grilling in the back yard, & lighting up my house during a power outage caused by a storm - the perfect solution to have on hand for that situation! I even brought mine all the way to Chile for a backpacking trip across Patagonia! Just strapped it on my pack!
What adventure do you plan to use your FLi PRO for next?
I have a beach trip coming up next month and you can be sure my FLi PRO will be on the list of essentials to bring. A little late-night corn hole and can jam on the beach is always a good time when you have the FLi PRO to light it up!
What’s one feature of the FLi PRO that you think more people should know about?
That the top of the light removes to become an awesome handheld light! The light can be used as either a regular flashlight or an area light depending on which LEDs you turn on. It also has a magnet in the base and split rings nestled in the top of the light. I have yet to use the magnet feature personally, but I love the split rings for hanging the light. Perfect for use in my tent.
